Our Process
What are the steps to home remodeling?
We Listen
Our salesman will meet you at your home to discuss everything in detail. We will need approx. 1 hour for this initial meeting and all decision makers should be present.
Finished Basement
Retreat
After reviewing your project, we will prepare a detailed written proposal, outlining the scope of work and fixed price for your project. Also, on the larger projects (like kitchens and additions), we will also show you detailed drawings of your new room.
Finishes
You’ll select finishes such as lighting, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, faucets, fixtures, etc. Our Project Coordinator will finalize a project schedule.
Build
As construction begins you can expect daily communication from our Project Coordinator to effectively address any questions, concerns, schedule or change orders.
Final Walk-Through
As your project is wrapping up, we’ll schedule this with our Project Coordinator and salesman. They will work with you to comprise a final list (if needed) and we’ll work quickly to resolve all items on that list.

We have also helped homeowners with basement remodeling, aging in place, kitchens, bathrooms, and more.
We have an architect on staff to help design the addition to match your existing home so it’s safe and secure. We will show you 3D drawings of your new room, so you’ll know exactly what it will look like, inside and out.
Shakespeare will be your one point of contact, handling every detail from start to finish. We are a full-service contractor, and we will handle all the steps involved in adding to your home, including initial design and drawings, permits, inspections, and of course, all the building elements like foundation work, framing, insulation, electrical, plumbing, etc.
