Lancaster’s Best “Aging-in-Place” Remodeler 2016
Awarded The Building Industry Association (BIA) Remodel’s Award of Excellence for Aging-in-Place Remodeler, Division 3
A testament to how much our customers appreciate the service and quality of workmanship we offer. This was the third project we completed for this customer. We first remodeled their kitchen in 2010, then a bathroom remodel in 2011. Finally, for this third and the largest project, we added this 20’x28’ two-story addition with a 38’x6’ large front porch. This addition provided them with a first floor master bedroom suite area to create one-level living.
They love their home and wanted to ensure they could “age in place”. This included a large master bedroom plus a master bathroom with a double vanity, large custom-tiled walk-in shower, and a huge walk-in closet. Additionally, to fully utilize the new addition, we gave them a large bonus room in the room addition attic space that provided them with additional sleeping quarters and a large play area for their grandchild. The customers are thrilled with all the projects that we have completed for them. We have helped them ensure that they will be able to remain in their home for as long as they wish.
The Building Industry Association (BIA) awarded the 2016 Remodeler’s Award of Excellence for Aging-in-Place Remodel, Division 3, to Shakespeare Home Improvement Company for this project. We are proud of this achievement and thank the BIA for recognizing us as the premier home improvement company for aging-in-place remodeling in Lancaster County

Lancaster’s Best Whole-House Remodeler
Voted Lancaster’s Best Whole House Remodeler, Room Addition, and Sunroom Specialists
Shakespeare Home Improvement Company had the opportunity to change a cedar log cabin into a contemporary masterpiece. The old log cabin was already beautiful. However, the owner had the room and the resources to create it into their dream property. Shakespeare not only remodeled the log cabin, but also added 3,000 square feet to the property with a three-car garage. The new area included an entertainment room, billiard room, poker room, exercise room, two bathrooms (one master bathroom), and a master bedroom with a second floor balcony and screened-in-porch. Also, the fireplace and kitchen are accented with granite tops and trim, and the kitchen was created with contemporary features. Finally, the staircase is open with glass railings, and a huge steel beam is exposed and incorporated into the interior design.
